Around 70,000 tourists visit Salalah so far: NCSI

Muscat: Close to 70,000 tourists visited Salalah till 14 July as a part of the Khareef tourist season, National Center of Statistics and Information (NCSI) announced.

According to NCSI’s latest statistics, a total of 68,165 tourists have visited Salalah since the beginning of Khareef season and of them, 34,600 were Omanis.

According to the centre’s statistics, Salalah has welcomed 1,105 visitors from KSA, while UAE nationals accounted for 4,670 visitors, so far.

Salalah also played host to 617 European visitors and many tourists from GCC countries also visited the city.

After Omanis, tourists from Asian countries were the second largest group to visit Salalah. Around 9,486 tourists from Asian countries flocked to the city.
